Who we are
GridNest (gridnest.co.uk) is an independently run website providing guides on UK home energy grants, costs, and electrical safety. It is not affiliated with the UK Government, GOV.UK, Ofgem, or any energy supplier.

What personal data we collect
- Server and log data — your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and performance purposes.

- Information you give us directly — if you use a contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content.
- Analytics data — aggregated, largely anonymised usage statistics via Google Analytics (only if you consent to analytics cookies).
We do not collect financial information, government ID numbers, or health data, and we do not require you to create an account to use this site.

Third parties we work with

- Namecheap — processes server logs as part of hosting the site.

How long we keep data
- Server logs: typically retained for a short rolling period by our host for security purposes.
